India vs England 2021: WATCH – Prasidh Krishna dismisses Jos Buttler with an accurate yorker

England defeated India in the second ODI in Pune by acing a chase of 337 thanks to stunning knocks from Jonny Bairstow and Ben Stokes. India had earlier been put in to bat and they had reached 336/6 riding on KL Rahul‘s century and useful contributions from Rishabh Pant, Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya. However, what looked like a stiff target was chased down without breaking a sweat by the Englishmen.
Bairstow and Jason Roy started in trademark aggressive fashion and notched up another 100-run partnership before the latter was run-out. It was then the Bairstow-Stokes show as the two flattened the Indian bowling attack and especially took the spinners to the cleaners. By the time the two were dismissed, the damage had been done and Dawid Malan and Liam Livingstone guided England to victory.
Watch – Prasidh Krishna dismisses Jos Buttler
Ben Stokes was dismissed for 99 by Bhuvneshwar Kumar and for a few minutes India sensed a chance of coming back into the game as the next over from Prasidh Krishna produced two wickets. The first to go was centurion Bairstow who hit a cover-drive straight to Virat Kohli. The new batsman was captain Jos Buttler and the right-handed batsman played out two dot balls.
He was then met with a searing yorker at full pace from Krishna. Buttler was beaten for pace and brought his bat down late before which the ball had gone on to hit the stumps. It was a moment of sheer pace, accuracy and brilliance from Prasidh that had one of the better limited overs players in Buttler look clueless.
The third ODI takes place tomorrow at 1:30 PM IST.
