Premier league announces its fixture calendar for the new season

Champions Liverpool, Chelsea and the rest of the 36 clubs get to know their schedule for the 2020/21 campaign, beginning in the next month. With the exception being Manchester United and their neighbors, Manchester City. Both are granted to miss their opening fixtures. Initially, the games will take place in empty stadium before fans are allowed in limited numbers from the month of October.
Fixtures revealed
The season kicks off with Crystal Palace, Southampton, Arsenal and new boys Fulham playing simultaneously on Saturday. Arteta’s men will have an away fixture to begin with at Craven Cottage before facing West Ham at home. Liverpool will host promoted side Leeds United in their title defense at Anfield for the opening day fixture. The match will feature two clubs reaching respective milestones after a long year waiting.
Jose Mourinho’s Spurs will entertain Ancelloti’s Everton at home as the Lily whites try to overshadow their miseries of the old campaign. While impressive Leicester face returning West Bromich Albion to the top flight. Frank Lampard’s blue with a ferocious attacking trident will begin with a trip to Brighton before Wolves wrap the first week of the new campaign in an exciting clash with Sheffield United.
Burnley and Aston Villa will have a week off until they work out with both Manchester Club’s delayed start to the campaign. The Red half of Manchester will play Roy Hodgson’s Crystal Palace, a fixture that ended 2-1 in favor of the visitors. Manchester City, however, will have a tough start against Nuno Espirito’s Wolves.
Season’s first heavyweight clash will arrive in the form of Chelsea versus Liverpool on the second game week. The Reds have another challenge to face in Arsenal before rounding off the first month of the league calendar. It is left to see if Anfield retain their glamour or a new champion is crowned in a season that will guarantee excitement.
