Premier League: Arsenal vs Sheffield United Preview and Predictions

Fresh off their penalty shootout win in the Carabao Cup against Liverpool, Arsenal face Sheffield United at home on Sunday. The Blades haven’t had the start they would have liked to the Premier League. They’re languishing at the 19th spot without picking up a point. Following last season’s strong performance, this season is proving to be a disaster. They will be desperate to bounce back.
Arsenal, on the other hand, are in 6th place having won two out of three matches. Manager Mikel Arteta’s ploy of playing out from the back has more often than not been effective. Arteta will want his boys to notch up a routine win.
Player Battles to watch out for:
John Egan v Alexandre Lacazette
After being benched against Liverpool in the cup, Lacazette is expected to return to the starting line-up. Sheffield center back John Egan is also expected to return to the starting line-up after being suspended. This battle could be crucial in deciding the outcome of the match.

Ollie McBurnie v Gabriel Magalhaes
Gabriel Magalhaes has proved to be a terrific signing for the Gunners. His ball distribution, tackling, interceptions and heading have been praised by many. He will look to keep McBurnie out and prevent him from scoring to preserve a clean sheet and secure a win for his side.

Predicted Lineups
Arsenal: Leno, Holding, David Luiz, Tierney; Bellerin, Dani Ceballos, Xhaka, Maitland-Niles, Willian, Lacazette and Aubameyang
Sheffield United: Ramsdale, Ampadu, Basham, Egan, Baldock, Berge, Lundstram, Fleck, Stevens, Burke and McGoldrick
When and where to watch
The match kicks off at 6 pm IST. The match can be watched on Star Sports Select 2 and Star Sports Select HD 2 and on Disney+ Hotstar.
Prediction
Arsenal should have it easy considering the form both sides are in. A 2-0 win for Arsenal might be the outcome when these two side face off tomorrow.
