Premier League:  Tottenham Hotspur vs Southampton Player Ratings as Southampton comeback to win 3-2

Tottenham Hotspur vs Southampton: Tottenham Hotspur squared off against Southhampton at the Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium in Matchday 24 of the ongoing edition of the Premier League.

Southhampton dominated possession for the most part of the game. However, Spurs was able to take the lead in the quarter half with an own goal from Jan Bednarek. Southampton was able to level things up in the 1st half with a special goal from Armando Borja. In the 2nd half, Spurs were again able to take the lead by a superb goal from Heung min Son.

It looked like Spurs was going to win but two absolutely incredible very late goals in the stoppage time, from Mohamed Elyounoussi and Che Adams, sealed the 3 points for Southhampton.

Tottenham Hotspur

Hugo Lloris (5.5/10): The French goalkeeper was pretty solid in front of the goal making some good stops. However, he was scored passed thrice by the visitor’s team.

Davinson Sánchez (6.3/10): The Colombian center-back had a really solid game defensively. He also played some good passes.

Ben Davies (6.2/10): The left-back playing as a left-center back was effective defensively. His long grounded passes can also be well appreciated.

Cristian Romero (6.3/10): The defender was also very solid making some good stops and blocks. He was good in the air as well.

Sergio Reguilón (6/10): The Spanish left-back carried the ball well and his off-the-ball movement was also quite decent. However, it was his mistake that led to the 1st goal by the home side.

Emerson (5/10): The right-back did not have an effective game at all and he was replaced at the beginning of the 2nd half.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (6.3/10): The Danish midfielder was pretty decent tonight with his crisp passing and ball holding.

Harry Winks (6/10): The English defensive midfielder was good on the ball and also made a few upright passes.

Heung Min Son  (6.3/10): The at midfielder was energetic and always eager to make something happen. He played some really good passes and scored an amazing goal in the 70th minute which took the lead for the spurs before Southampton’s comeback.

Lucas Moura (6.4/10): The forward was really good on the ball and tried to make something happen every time he had the ball

Harry Kane (8/10): The English striker was absolutely brilliant today as he was not able to score for the Spurs and was not successful to do something big.

Substitutes:

R Bentancur  (4.5/10): The midfielder was not very effective after coming on as a sub. He did however play some passes.

Steven Bergwijn (8/10): The Dutch were on for Regulation he tried to find a couple of last goals as well as there was not much time left.

Southampton

Fraser Forster (GK) (8/10): Made some superb saves to see Southampton through. Really good with his collection.

Mohamad Salisu (6/10): Was decent going forward. However, nearly cost Southampton a goal in the second half and stopped them really well.

Jan Bednarek  (6.5/10): Didn’t do much wrong. However, he scored an own goal early unluckily it went in the spurs net and it appeared as the lead for them but defended well where he should.

Romain Perraud (7/10): Got skinned early in the game, however grew into it and managed to make a strong performance and made it tough for spurs and also assisted one goal.

Walker Peters (7/10): He was crucial with his runs in behind the forwards and defended well and dominated the whole time also he made some good passes and gameplay.

Oriol Romeu (7/10): Was always on his toes with the challenges. Managed to win crucial balls high up the pitch.

Ward Prowse (6/10): The midfielder gave his everything in this match to play really good for his team after going through a bad form, he did well and assisted two goals on of the winning goal to Che Adams and also the tiebreaker from Elyounoussi which took Southhampton to gain 3 points.

Mohamed Elyounoussi (6/10): Not quite the first-team debut Small would’ve been looking for. Was hooked off at half-time and played amazing the second half and he was the one who equalized by scoring a header crossed to him by Ward Prose.

Adam Armstrong (6.5/10): Very great outing from Adam Armstrong. He was another one of the good midfielders of the game and really played well where it was needed.

Che Adams  (7/10): Surprised that Long survived for the entirety of the match. Was effective in pretty much every aspect and in last it was a quickfire from the same place Ward Prowse whips the same ball to Che Adams and it was him who nods it in from Six yards out.

Armando Broja (7/10): Had a really many chances to score in this match for him after suffering from own goal after some minutes he scored the equalizer, Davies slips into the box and gives to Saints then Perraud whips a cross from the left to Broja who slams it home from the close range.

Substitutes:

T Walcot (6/10):  Cant rate any better for the player thought he was subbed very late on 90th minute.
