A former prison escapee in the UK, was arrested by police officers for breaking the rules of quarantine. The reason for breaking the quarantine rules was to go and buy a copy of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Prison escapee arrested when buying COD in UK amid quarantine

Clint Butler, aged 36, is the name of the former escapee and the one detained for the above mentioned folly. Recently, the West Midland Police posted an online clip of the arrest.

In the report that was published on 13th January, Clint is seen speaking to two constables. Likewise, the ones who made the arrest were Mark Owen and Allison Brown.

The confrontation came into play when the two officers called out to the fugitive and his friend who were walking away after seeing them. When questioned, he gave a false name and address. Moreover, when questioned he told the officers that he wanted to buy a COD copy.

The officer informed Clint about the quarantine and that was when Clint assaulted the officer. He tried to run away by kicking officer Owen in the groin. However, he slipped due to the ice and officer Brown swiftly tackled him. They also pepper sprayed the suspect until two more constable arrived. They promptly hand-cuffed him and put him in the car.

Butler is serving a prison sentence of 17 years at HMP Spring Hill open prison in Buckinghamshire dur to armed robbery. Likewise, he was meant to be out on 2024 but he escaped on 8 November, 2020.

Now due to escaping prison and assault charges he will be facing additional 2 years in jail.
