PUBG Mobile: Peace Elite Championship 2021(PEC) Postponed

The Peace Elite Championship 2021 is the World Championship of Peacekeeper Elite, a Chinese rebranded version of PUBG Mobile, also known as Game for Peace. After the last year’s tournament, the same was supposed to b held in 2021 but got postponed due to COVID 19 restrictions.

Peace Elite Championship 2021 Postponed
“We have put in a lot of effort, hoping to allow more spectators to witness the competitive confrontation of the global elite on the top international competitive arena. However, in view of the current situation of the global epidemic, in order to support and cooperate with the epidemic prevention and control work at home and abroad, and to protect the health and safety of every participant and audience, after various considerations by the organizer, we regret to announce that the original plan was to be held on July 31,” the organizers said.
“The PEC Peace Elite International Champions Cup held in many venues at home and abroad will be postponed. The time and location of the event will be announced separately. Please stay tuned for the follow-up official news,” the statement added. The decision was made by Tencent to safeguard the health and safety of all participants as well as the audience.
This was the third season of the PEC, and as opposed to the previous two seasons, the PEC 2021 was scheduled to take place in the middle of the year, on July 31st and August 1st. The tournament was set to take place at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai with a massive prize pool of 12 million Yuan (1.9 million USD). The event organizers have not yet announced a new date but will announce one soon.
n July 31, the Peace Elite Super Cup and Airdrop Carnival (Peace Elite Super Cup 2021) will be grandly opened at the Shanghai Mercedes-Benz Arena. As a substitute, a local tournament named Peace Elite Super Cup and Airdrop Carnival (Peace Elite Super Cup 2021) will take place on the same date and at the same location.
