Ahead of their scheduled segment at Elimination Chamber, The Rock was seen doing his best to convince Cody Rhodes to sell his soul. When the WWE Undisputed Champion arrived at the arena, he was personally escorted by security to a special dressing room. His room featured a sushi buffet and a giant wine rack. The Hollywood superstar also appeared via satellite to gift the champion an expensive and personalized Ford F-150 Raptor truck.
Rhodes met R-Truth in his private locker room, lying on the couch with a plate of sushi in his hand. The wrestling veteran asked The American Nightmare how he managed to get that entire setup. The former AEW EVP replied by saying that The Final Boss had asked for his soul. It seems that is what one must do for this treatment.
R-Truth replied by saying that after all, he is the Soul Man. This is a reference to The Rock’s father. He used this moniker as his nickname while he was a professional wrestler. The 53-year-old was amazed by all the gifts bestowed upon Cody Rhodes. He told the WWE Undisputed Champion to seriously consider the offer while not being “shellfish.”

Rhodes asked the former US Champion to help himself to some more sushi, and the latter seemed delighted. Truth even asked the 39-year-old to see if the Great One could arrange some jelly rolls for them for next time. While the 53-year-old seemed delighted by this treatment, the American Nightmare was visibly torn about his decision, which he must make on Saturday night at the Elimination Chamber.
The WWE Universe reacts to R-Truth crashing Cody Rhodes’ dressing room on SmackDown
The WWE Universe was highly amused by watching this segment. They showered praise on R-Truth and his stellar character work and incredible comedic timing. Although he is never an important character in any major storylines, little tidbits such as these make the show a whole lot better.

Regardless, fans said that this segment definitely did its job. This incredibly hospitable treatment by The Rock will surely make Rhodes think about his future and how well he can provide for his family. Furthermore, Truth telling the American Nightmare to take the offer also seemed to place him in a major ethical dilemma. Another fan said that while his role was purely comedic, he surely did a great job of adding fuel to this fire.
