Battlegrounds Mobile India Ban: YouTuber Paras charged For Racism Against Arunachal Pradesh MLA
Paras Singh, who goes by his online alias ‘Paras Official’ on YouTube, reacted to potential Battlegrounds Mobile India ban, and had posted a video on Sunday allegedly referring to “Ering as a non-Indian and Arunachal Pradesh, a part of China”. The YouTuber stated that Mr. Ering “looks Chinese” and has received massive criticism from the community.
Former Union Minister and current Arunachal Pradesh MLA Ninong Erin had written out applications to India’s PM, urging him to ban the new PUBG Mobile replacement, Battlegrounds Mobile India. Paras made racial slurs and comments while reacting to that letter by the MLA.

The article speaks about the YouTuber using racial slurs and the actions taken against him, all because of the MLA seeking a ban against Battlegrounds Mobile India.
Racism Against MLA Seeking Battlegrounds Mobile India Ban
Former Union Minister and current Arunachal Pradesh MLA Ninong Erin wrote to the Prime Minister stating that the game’s release is a threat to the privacy and security of Indians. Although the game has not released yet and is not available for download, it has been surrounded by a new controversy. Indian politicians had been seeking a ban on the game as it threatens the privacy and security of Indian citizens. A request had been made by the former Union Minister and current Arunachal Pradesh MLA Ninong Erin. The MLA wrote to the PM seeking an immediate ban and “not allow Chinese deception.”
Reacting to it, a PUBG mobile YouTuber from Punjab named Paras Official made some racial statements against Mr. Ering. He termed “Ering as a non-Indian and Arunachal Pradesh, a part of China,” according to a report from EastMojo.
Paras Official discussed these developments in a video and stated “Mujhe to nahi lagta yeh (Mr. Ering) Indian hai” and while looking at the map of India, made some comments on Arunachal Pradesh as well. He reportedly stated the following, “Arre yaar yeh (Arunachal) to China ki side me hai. Yeh China walon ka hi hai… ek tarah se unhi k saath hi hai halka fulka touch hota hai, India me aata hai.”
Chief Minister Pema Khandu, taking to Twitter, condemned the racial slur and said the “video aims at inciting ill will and hatred towards the people of Arunachal Pradesh”. According to EastMojo, Ering said the “immature” comments made by Singh have not hurt him personally. “He is free to point out mistakes if any, but the racist remarks are serious and something which needs re-thinking,” Ering said.
“A case has been registered against Paras for racial hatred and the cyber-crime branch in Itanagar is investigating the matter,” DGP RP Upadhyaya said. Although the YouTuber has submitted a bunch of apology letters, it seems he is in for the big ride, and the racial slurs are looking worse than ever.
