The Swiss maestro Roger Federer is back. Once again. The Swiss, stopped for more than a year and just back from a double knee surgery, is ready to give his fans and all tennis fans other delights, other sporting and at the same time poetic gestures, other incredible plays.
With 20 Grand Slams on the showcase, now on the threshold of forty years, Roger Federer could say enough is enough. But he doesn’t, because he is still having fun, he has the same hunger for wins as always and remains among the best on the circuit.
Without a doubt, Federer gets along the best with Rafael Nadal on tour. Rafa is also Federer’s greatest rival. It will be an understatement to say that the two players have helped each other grow.
Nadal shares his similarities to Federer
Recently, Nadal spoke about the Swiss superstar. He called Federer the ‘greatest sportsman ever’ and disclosed his similarities with him.
“Federer is one of the greatest sportsmen ever. He has been my biggest rival.”, Nadal said.
“In some things we are similar, as we both love the calmness and the family. We are different in terms of characters, culture, lifestyles. He is Swiss. I am Latin.”
Nadal has currently opted out of Rotterdam and Acapulco due to injury. While Federer is set to make a comeback in Doha.
