Former Indian captain Rahul Dravid featured recently in an advertisement by ‘Cred’ wherein he is portrayed as ‘Indiranagar ka Gunda’. The ad has now received plaudits for its creativity as well as Dravid’s acting in the same. This is because Dravid is someone who was known for never losing his cool and for always staying calm and composed. Seeing him get angry was a completely different experience for the viewers.

Yet another person who exemplified the said calmness was MS Dhoni who was Dravid’s successor after Anil Kumble took over for a brief period. Now, former Indian opener Virender Sehwag has revealed that Dhoni was at the receiving end of Dravid’s anger when he was a youngster and a newbie in the team. This revelation would come as another shock following the one seen in the Cred ad.

Virender Sehwag spoke to Cricbuzz about the time Dravid got angry and said, “I have seen Rahul Dravid get angry. When we were in Pakistan and MS Dhoni had been a newcomer, he played a shot and got caught at point. Dravid was very angry with MS Dhoni. ‘That’s the way you play? You should finish the game.’ I was myself taken aback by the storm of English from Dravid, I didn’t understand half of it.”

“But when MS Dhoni next came in to bat, I could see he was not hitting shots much. I went and asked him what was wrong. He said he did not want to be scolded by Dravid again. ‘I will finish the game quietly and go back,’ Dhoni said,” he added.

Meanwhile, the commercial which is being shown regularly during the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) is continuing to receive a positive response.
