Beef between fighters is always entertaining in the UFC, but active fighters clashing with legends is a rarer and more intriguing spectacle. That’s why the ongoing feud between Kevin Holland and former UFC champion Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson has drawn significant attention, sparking heated discussions among fans and media alike. It’s a unique generational clash that adds depth to the drama.
Holland confronted Jackson during a podcast appearance, where the tension quickly escalated into a heated verbal exchange between the two. Despite being provoked, Jackson remained calm, refusing to fight Holland and instead emphasizing professionalism. In a recent interview, the veteran praised Holland for his fighting career, but made sure to add criticism.
I think Kevin Holland could be champion. I think he could be a really good fighter in his weight class, but it seems like he’s not focused on it. He’s focused on smoking weed, going out and playing with his 45-70, and stuff like being a black cowboy. I think that’s what he’s focused on, but I really think he’s talented.

The beef between Holland and Jackson started after Jackson joked about Holland’s face-off with Michael ‘Venom’ Page online. Jackson’s comment compared their stance to a sexual act, which Holland found disrespectful and not humorous in any way whatsoever. During the interview with Ariel Helwani, Rampage accepted that his joke was out of line, but this hasn’t solved their beef.
Jackson also talked about spending thousands of dollars on producing a diss track on Holland and unloading it on YouTube. The legendary fighter expressed that in the diss, he tried to show Holland the difference in their careers and achievements. According to Jackson, following the diss, 45-70, his relationship with Holland has further deteriorated.
UFC veteran talks about Kevin Holland’s lack of seriousness
Kevin Holland‘s UFC career has been filled with thrilling highs and challenging lows, demonstrating both talent and inconsistency in equal measure. Holland shot to UFC fame in 2020 with five victories, including knockouts of Joaquin Buckley and Ronaldo ‘Jacare’ Souza. However, his momentum stalled in 2021 when he lost back-to-back to Derek Brunson and Marvin Vettori, both of whom took advantage of his poor wrestling.

He rebounded in 2022 with thrilling victories over Alex Oliveira and Tim Means, proving his striking ability and fan popularity. However, losses to Khamzat Chimaev and Jack Della Maddalena exposed new gaps, leaving his championship aspirations shaky and inconsistent. Former UFC champion TJ Dillashaw talked about this in detail and shared why Holland lacks the edge.
He doesn’t give a sh**. Are you gonna be a champion if you don’t care. You need to be obsessed about it, everyday of your life. He’s talking about bringing training partners, going home and smoking weed. He doesn’t have the mindset for it. He’s just happy being on TV.

However, the fighter has remained one of the most active fighters in the UFC roster with three fights in 2024. Holland has already fought twice this year and is looking for his next bout at UFC 316. The ‘Trailblazer’ has left all the concerns about losing and now focuses on entertaining the crowd and taking home the paycheck.
Holland exudes a gangster personality, blending fearless street swagger with a sharp tongue and unshakable confidence inside the Octagon. He often trash-talks opponents mid-fight, maintaining a wild charm that entertains fans and distracts his opponents. The American star likes to keep the fight on the ground and has some incredible knockouts, which showcase his chaotic fighting style.
From jumping into fights on short notice to confronting criminals outside the UFC, Holland embodies unpredictability that is often admired. It would be interesting to see whether the fighter responds to Jackson’s diss track anytime soon.
