Back in the day, when he used to be an egotistical maniac, who would’ve thought that Randy Orton would go on to cement himself as a first-ballot Hall of Famer? Even at 44, he only seems to have scratched the surface and plans to keep his foot on the gas pedal until he’s 50. While recently speaking to Adam’s Apple, The Viper weighed-in on numerous topics.

The one that matters most for his fans is for how long The Apex Predator fancies himself as an in-ring performer in WWE. Without much of a hiccup, Randy Orton said 50. That would mark three decades of him being with the Stamford-based promotion. It’s subjective, but most of the fans believe that Orton’s quite potentially in the best physical shape of his career at the moment.

Not to forget that the St. Louis native underwent triple fusion back surgery almost a year and a half ago. The word coming out of his camp was that the doctors had advised him against stepping back to the squared circle. As Randy mentioned in the above-stated interview, he thought that he’d have to call it a day back then.

At 44, I would love to be able to go until my 50's. Maybe I wrestle until I'm 50 and call it. it. That's 30 years…30 years with the same company on top. Feels like now is the perfect environment for me to thrive.

Randy further brought Vince McMahon into the conversation by revealing how he reacted when Orton asked him for time off when he was 35. Admitting that his back was hurting through his entire 30s, The Legend Killer believed he needed to step away for a while. However, McMahon told him that Mother Nature gets everyone. The 14-time World Champion returned last year at Survivor Series: WarGames after being on the sidelines for almost a couple of years.

Why Randy Orton believes that the International crowds are better than those in the US?

This past Saturday, Randy Orton competed at WWE Backlash while teaming up with Kevin Owens to battle Solo Sikoa and “MFT” Tama Tonga. Despite ending up on the losing side, Randy’s biggest takeaway from the PLE was its vociferous ambiance.

In the same interview as above, the former Evolution member said that there’s a night-and-day difference between US crowds and those internationally. The SmackDown Superstar mentioned how the folks in Lyon serenaded his theme song word-for-word.

And that’s something that has never happened in the wrestling havens in the United States. The packed house at the LDLC Arena was so rabid that it even made AJ Styles break character and appreciate them for showing out loud. It would be interesting to see when WWE decides to visit France again.
