FC Barcelona star Raphinha has been elemental to Xavi Hernandez‘s side last season. The Brazilian was a regular starter under the Spaniard as they came close to securing both La Liga and the Champions League. Barring a late collapse, both domestically and in Europe, the 27-year-old greatly contributed to his side’s progress last year.

Having scored 9 goals and set up another eleven, there is no doubt as to what the former Leeds United man brings to the table. As Hansi Flick takes charge of the Blaugrana and the club once again faces financial ‘hardship’, Al-Nassr have come into the fray with an offer almost impossible to turn down.

It is understood that Cristiano Ronaldo‘s club is plotting to make a move for the Brazilian. After failing to secure the Saudi Pro League yet again, management feels the need to bring in additional firepower if they are to dethrone Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad.

As per reports, Al-Nassr are ready to offer €100 million for the forward, thereby breaking the previous club transfer record of €60 million paid for Otavio from Porto.

Premier League club expresses interest to sign Raphinha

After a commendable season under Xavi Hernandez, several clubs have added Raphinha‘s name to their shopping list for the summer transfer window. The 27-year-old has signed a deal which keeps him at the club until 2027, and earns over €240,000 per week. Amidst all the interest from Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr, Premier League giants Arsenal have also expressed their interest.

It is no secret that the Gunners were desperate to sign the forward back in 2022, when he was willing to part ways with Leeds up until Barcelona came along to swoop him away. It is understood that Arsenal will not be able to match Al-Nassr’s potential offer financially, even though choosing between the Premier League and the Saudi Pro League remains up to the player.

To add to the same, Arsenal already have Bukayo Saka operating from the right and the Brazilian may find it difficult to break into the starting line-up. However, Mikel Arteta is in need of quality players who are comfortable playing out wide. This will also increase the rotational capacity of the Spaniard’s squad thereby helping in their pursuit of the Premier League. Despite all the interest, it remains to be seen whether Raphinha will be willing to move from his ‘favorite’ club.
