Rodrygo who suffered a muscle injury in December is back fit and will be vital for Zidane in the crucial stages of the season. Marcelo is also back after suffering a injury problem and provides back-up for Mendy at left-back.
Valverde’s season has not lived up the billing so far but the Uruguayan will hope to be back at his best after his recent injury struggles. It’s been a while since Casemiro, Kroos or Modric got some kind of rest, so Valverde’s presence will allow Zidane to rotate his midfielders more.
