Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane tests positive for COVID-19
The legendary Frenchman might as well take this time to rest and refresh his tactics and try to brainstorm solutions to take Real Madrid out of their winless slump

Things are going bad to worse for Real Madrid as their manager tests positive for COVID-19 on top of the news that wonderkid Martin Odegaard is leaving to Arsenal. Sergio Ramos and Fede Valverde will be missing day after tomorrow’s game against Alaves away from home. Zinedine Zidane will be forced to miss the match against Alaves along with Sergio Ramos, Fede Valverde and Martin Odegaard.

Zidane will treat this as respite and time out from the pressure of the job as manager

There are managers and then there are Real Madrid managers and Chelsea managers. Managers of the latter two clubs face immense pressure and success is the only item that will give you time to survive. Other clubs like Manchester United and Liverpool have given their present managers a couple of seasons to settle in and then get results, but that isn’t the norm at Chelsea or Real Madrid.

Rafael Benitez, Carlo Ancellot, Santiago Solari and Julian Lopetgui have been sacked by Real Madrid ruthlessly while Andre Villas-Boas, Antonio Conte, Jose Mourinho and Maurizio Sarri suffered the same at Chelsea. Zinedine Zidane is currently facing down the barrel as Real Madrid haven’t won any game in their last three matches and sit 7 points behind Atletico Madrid having played a game more. Atletico Madrid can widen the gap to 10 points and it will be hard to catch up with them at the latter part of the season.

Zinedine Zidane will have to return a negative test to be allowed to return to the Real Madrid dugout and it could take two weeks if protocols are followed like in the Premier League.
