The first night of the WWE Draft led to a few shocking roster changes. Bron Breakker has been sent over to RAW. Meanwhile, Nia Jax and Baron Corbin will now be appearing on the blue brand. As fans wait for the second night of this exciting WWE event, Gunther could be looking at a major change in scenery as well.

Gunther recently asked his fans on Twitter what show they would like him to appear on. The 36-year-old was not a part of the draft pool on the first night. However, he will be eligible to be drafted by either brand on the next episode of Monday Night RAW. This could lead to the former Intercontinental Champion moving to Friday nights.

The Austrian was part of the blue brand before the WWE Draft in 2023. He defended his Intercontinental Championship against most of the SmackDown roster before being sent to RAW for a scenery change. Going back to his previous brand could allow him to compete for the WWE Universal Championship, perhaps at the Bash in Berlin PLE.

However, the red brand is in some serious need of star power. With Cody Rhodes moving to SmackDown and Seth Rollins, CM Punk, and Dominik Mysterio all being out due to injury, RAW may need the former Intercontinental Champion to stick around for a little bit longer.

According to the WWE Draft Rules, Monday Night Raw will also feature six rounds of drafting rather than Friday’s four. Thus, the WWE Universe can expect more roster changes, shake-ups, and surprises, such as Gunther being shifted over to SmackDown.

Gunther says that he and Cody Rhodes are made to be enemies

Gunther was recently asked on the Gorilla Position if there was a chance of him ever facing Cody Rhodes for the WWE Universal Championship. The duo has had several interactions in the Royal Rumble match in both 2023 and 2024. Additionally, the King of the Ring tournament winner also gets to choose which champion they would take on.

If he wins the tournament, he can have a chance to face the American nightmare. The Austrian said that in the long run, he and Cody were made to be enemies. He added that he could even see the match-up taking place in the next year. While there will be many options to choose from for the KOTR winner, the 36-year-old thought that choosing the WWE Universal champion made logical sense.

In the long run, I think Cody and I are kind of made to be enemies. I think it makes sense visually already.

If the former NXT UK champion is to be drafted to the blue brand, there is a high chance that he will run into the American Nightmare sooner or later. The match could be held as soon as August at the Bash in Berlin PLE.
