Jannik Sinner is no longer in a relationship with Anna Kalinskaya, as upon his comeback following his three-month ban, he had confirmed the same. Both Sinner and Kalinskaya are in Cincinnati and have booked a spot in the fourth round.
Kalinskaya’s opening-round opponent was home favorite Peyton Stearns, whom she defeated in three sets. During a changeover in the third set, a commentator brought up Sinner, saying he was curious whether the World No.1 has started to date Emma Navarro.
Kalinskaya ended her relationship with Jannik Sinner… I noticed the other day that Sinner was out hitting with Emma Navarro… Don’t know if that means anything… Makes you raise an eyebrow… I wonder if that’s on Kalinskaya’s mind at all. Probably not.
The clip of this commentary is doing the rounds on social media. When Serena Williams‘ former coach Rennae Stubbs came across it, she simply wrote, “I have no words.”

After splitting with Kalinskaya, Sinner was spotted with a woman in Denmark, sparking dating rumors, which the four-time Grand Slam champion denied. As per these rumors, Sinner is dating Danish model Laila Hasanovic, who previously dated German racing driver Mick Schumacher. Hasanovic was also spotted in Sinner’s box at Wimbledon, where he lifted his fourth Major of his career.
Navarro is Sinner’s US Open mixed doubles partner. The US Open has completely revamped its mixed-doubles format, attracting the top singles players, many of whom have signed up for the event, including Sinner’s arch-rival Carlos Alcaraz, who will be playing alongside Emma Raducanu.
Navarro’s campaign ended in Cincinnati as Ella Seidel defeated her in the opening round. Kalinskaya, on the other hand, beat this year’s Wimbledon runner-up, Amanda Anisimova, in the third round and will next lock horns with 12th seed Ekaterina Alexandrova, against whom she trails 0-6 in the head-to-head matchups.
Jannik Sinner on his confidence at this point in his career
Following his opening-round win against Daniel Elahi Galan in Cincinnati, Jannik Sinner was asked in the press conference about whether his confidence has changed at this point in his career, as he did not hesitate in skipping the Canadian Open to extend his break after the grass swing. Sinner said his confidence comes from the hours he spends on practice courts honing his skills and not by winning tournaments.

I’m one kind of person who takes the confidence out of the practice sessions. And then when I feel ready physically, when I feel ready mentally, when I feel that the shots are in the right spot, that’s, you know, I’m just ready to play, I feel confident, you know, and that’s exactly what we did also after London. I took my time off, but then when I came back, I was working very, very hard.
Sinner took a 1-0 head-to-head lead over Gabriel Diallo after knocking him out in the third round. He is next scheduled to play Adrian Mannarino, whom he has defeated thrice. They will be facing each other for the first time since the 2023 Indian Wells third round.
The first seed is chasing his fifth Masters 1000 title, the last of which he claimed at the 2024 Shanghai Masters by beating Novak Djokovic. He is also aiming to defend a Masters 1000 trophy for the first time in his career.
If Sinner wins the tournament, he will become the first player to defend this title after 20-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer (2014 and 2015). Last year, the 23-year-old beat home favorite Frances Tiafoe in the final. So far in the season, Sinner has reached four finals and lifted the Australian Open and Wimbledon by beating Alexander Zverev and Carlos Alcaraz, respectively.
