Jannik Sinner has shown his strong will to become a better player with each tournament this year. He has demonstrated an impeccable level of professionalism and won seven titles. It has now been reported that the Italian has collaborated with Czech Republic coach Radek Stepanek to work on some weaknesses in his game ahead of the ATP Finals.
Sinner won his first title this year at the Australian Open, beating Daniil Medvedev in the final. He continued his unbeaten run, winning the Rotterdam Open before eventually losing to Carlos Alcaraz in Indian Wells. He then bounced back at the Miami Open, where he claimed his third title.
During the North American hard court swing, Sinner outperformed every player, losing just one match across three tournaments. He claimed his second Masters 1000 title of the season in Cincinnati before winning the US Open in September.
The Italian then won his third Masters title in Shanghai after beating Novak Djokovic in straight sets in the summit clash. Nonetheless, despite all of Sinner’s victories this season, he is looking to iron out a few weaknesses in his game.
Sinner has reportedly collaborated with Stepanek, who was part of Sebastian Korda’s team for two years. Stepanek won the Davis Cup twice for the Czech Republic and won the Australian Open and US Open as a doubles player.

The 45-year-old will be involved in Sinner’s training during his preparations for the ATP Finals in Turin and also for the Davis Cup Finals later this month. The ATP Finals will get underway on November 10.
Sinner is hoping to be back on the court stronger after pulling out from the recently concluded Paris Masters. He withdrew a day before his opening match against Ben Shelton because of a virus.

The 23-year-old was impressive at the tournament last year, winning all his Group phase matches, including a win over Novak Djokovic. He went on to beat Daniil Medvedev in the semifinals but failed to win the title after a straight-sets loss to Djokovic in the final.
This year, Sinner is the favorite to win the title. The event will be his first since his victory at the Shanghai Master. Meanwhile, Djokovic is yet to confirm his qualification for the event. He is currently in the sixth position in the ATP Finals live rankings with 3,910 points.
