WWE is the hottest it’s ever been as the company earns a hefty profit and breaks gate records on a near-weekly basis. That said, the major reason behind this boom period is none other than the superstars. The talent, who work hard to keep fans entertained, certainly deserve to reap the benefits of the profits. As such, it comes as no surprise that the minimum wage for a WWE star has increased over the years.
As per Fightful Select, the minimum salary for a talent on the main roster is now in the range of $200,000-$300,000. Moreover, several top stars are earning millions per year. A few years back, the minimum pay was reportedly around $50,000. Therefore, the increase in salary is obviously more than a welcome change for the wrestlers.
WWE has signed or extended the contracts of several of its stars recently, with all of them earning significant raises. Over the past month or so, Kevin Owens and Alexa Bliss have re-signed on multi-year deals. Meanwhile, WWE’s newest signing, Jordynne Grace, who was one of the highly touted free agents in the market, also penned down a five-year deal with the company.

In addition to guaranteed pay, WWE stars earn money from a percentage of their merchandise sales. As such, main event talents such as Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes are supposedly earning eight figures. In fact, top AEW star Chris Jericho recently confirmed this during an interview.
The former WWE Champion claimed that after he left the company in 2019, salaries for top stars increased significantly. According to Jericho, they are earning $30-40 million per year. The veteran highlighted how this wouldn’t have been possible without the inception of AEW.

Wrestling fans expressed their happiness after the aforementioned report came to light. Many were pleased that WWE stars were now earning at least six figures per year. Meanwhile, others took the opportunity to poke fun and make jokes on the matter.

Most users hilariously claimed that they would sit in catering for a whole year if it meant earning $200,000-$300,000. Some even sarcastically questioned where they could apply to become a WWE Superstar.
Making 300K just by sitting in catering and doing nothing? I need this job!

Tbh that's not enough money. Regular people make that in California over a span of 1-3 years.

Minus travel expenses and health insurance – I wonder how much their insurance is due to the risky job

While the reported minimum salary is still a hefty sum, users pointed out how wrestlers still have to pay for their travel and accommodation. Furthermore, some even thought that the salary was still not enough for wrestlers, who put their bodies on the line every week.
