Since Dominik Mysterio turned a heel and joined the dark side of The Judgment Day, his behavior changed a lot towards his father Rey Mysterio. Not only his father, but his behavior toward his entire family was despicable. Surprisingly, the Hall of Famer held his wife responsible for how Dom Dom turned out.

Rey Mysterio gave an interview on the Those Wrestling Girls podcast and was asked about Dominik Mysterio‘s behavior. He hilariously put all the blame on his wife by saying he was barely home due to the tight schedule. However, in the end, he said that she did an excellent job with their children while he was away. The legendary Luchador held himself responsible for spoiling them.

Dirty Dom turned his heel on Rey and Edge at Clash at the Castle, brutally attacking them in 2022. Since then, he and Rhea Ripley have only terrorized the Mysterio family, as one time they attacked his father on the day of Thanksgiving. They even got up and left during The Ultimate Underdog’s Hall of Fame speech.

I want to say that I did everything right. I want to put the blame on my wife. My wife was the one that, you know, I traveled for so long, way too many days a week that my wife was mom and dad. But no, being serious, My wife did an incredible job with both of my kids. The thing that I did the most was come home for one or two days a week and spoil them and I think that's where I did wrong.

The constant back-and-forth between the father and son ultimately led them to fight at WrestleMania 39. In an amazing match, the legendary Luchador got his revenge and picked up the victory over Dirty Dom. They met again at WrestleMania XL, where the Hall of Famer again got the better of his son in a tag team match.

Rey Mysterio expressed his honest opinion on showing his face to fans

Since his debut in 2002, fans have rarely seen Rey Mysterio without a mask. Although it’s tradition to wear masks for Mexican wrestlers, he felt that they also have to keep changing with what the wrestling business demands.

Speaking with The Wrestling Classic, he stated that he didn’t mind that fans shared his picture on social media without a mask. He further added that he always appreciates when fans ask him to share the picture for everyone to see. The Hall of Famer worked without his mask earlier in his career.

You know, it’s something I really don’t mind. A lot of fans recognize me and it’s kind of like a new era of wrestling. For a while, I did wrestle without my mask and a lot of fans know me because of that.

The 49-year-old is in his final run and revealed that he has very little time left in WWE. He recently failed to capture an opportunity to fight for the Universal title, as he lost against AJ Styles. It will be interesting to see whether he focuses completely on his own character or if he will be involved with the L.W.O. business.
