The former WWE Champion, Rey Mysterio has teased that he has a surprise planned for King Corbin. The 2006 Royal Rumble winner is currently in a feud with the King of the Ring. The father-son Mysterio duo have failed at numerous attempts to overcome Corbin.

The rivalry between the Mysterio and Corbin originated when Corbin tossed the Lucha over the roof of WWE Headquarters. This was during the Money in the Bank Ladder match. Since then, the feud has continued on WWE’s Smackdown. Dominik Mysterio faced Corbin a couple of times but had failed in all his attempts.

Mysterio recently stated that he has a surprise planned for Corbin. “I have a little surprise that eventually will pop up, I’m just waiting for the right time for that, and the whole SmackDown family will know…we do know that Corbin was a former Golden Gloves boxer, so we might go down that route.”

In 2019, Rey Mysterio surprised the WWE Universe when he walked out with Cain Velasquez in order to overcome Lesnar. It remains to be seen that what Mysterio has in store this time.

Mysterio was initially involved in a feud with Seth Rollins. The storyline received heavy criticism for the way it panned out. But it allowed WWE to establish Rey’s son, Dominik as an upcoming talent.

Since that family feud got over, Mysterio has been feuding with Corbin. He will next be seen in the 30-man Royal Rumble match. He is one of the few participants who have already won the tournament earlier.

Royal Rumble airs live on 31st January, 2021.
