The Women’s WarGames match at Survivor Series 2024 arguably had more star power than any female version of this stipulation in the past. After a grueling competition between the ten competitors, Rhea Ripley picked up the victory for her team by pinning the leader of the opposite team, Liv Morgan.
Ripley took to X to pen down her thoughts a few hours after her match came to a close. She taunted her opponents, especially Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez, who she had been feuding with for a while now. Amidst the chaos, the Latina superstar had ended up being handcuffed to the ropes, and no longer being able to protect her friend.
Ripley used this to her advantage and went right after the Women’s World Champion. The latter tried to escape by climbing up the cage. However, it was of no use. The Eradicator started climbing herself and caught up to her. She grabbed Morgan, and hit her with an avalanche Riptide through a table, pinned her, and picked up the victory for her team.

Rhea Ripley pinning the Queen of Extreme should also mean that the former gets another chance at the Women’s World Championship in the future. The superstars are likely to have the last match in their trilogy in the near future. This could even be as soon as Saturday Night’s Main Event. If this does happen, the Australian may finally regain the title that she spent the majority of this year chasing. It is unclear what role Iyo Sky plays here, who is still the #1 contender for the belt.
Rhea Ripley provides an update on her injury
Unfortunately, Rhea Ripley has had to spend the majority of this year on the shelf. This cost her both the Women’s World Championship as well as Dominik Mysterio. Mami suffered another injury a couple of weeks ago, this time fracturing her orbital bone. She was then written off TV through a parking lot brawl carried out by Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez.
Ripley returned to WWE programming before she was fully healed. Thus, she began wearing a mask to cover her face during segments and even wore a terrifying face mask during her WarGames match. When she was face-to-face in the ring with Morgan, she took it off, leading fans to think that perhaps she did not need it anymore and was completely fine now.
During the Survivor Series Post-Show press conference, Ripley was asked about the status of her injury. While she was unsure of the exact status, she was starting to feel better. One thing is for sure, the Australian is relentless in her pursuit of the things she wants. Even if she is not fully healed yet, it surely won’t stop her from continuing to go after Morgan.
