WWE has been teasing a romantic storyline between Jey Uso and Rhea Ripley for quite a while now. The tension between these two superstars got thicker on the latest episode of Raw after a confusing interaction between them.
The show featured a backstage segment where Finn Balor confronted Rhea Ripley about the implosion of The Judgment Day. He blamed her for the group being torn apart, saying that she never helped the group and tried to be the leader when they agreed there would be none. This led to Uso stepping into the conversation to cool things down between the two former stalemates.
Balor told the Samoan to focus on his Intercontinental Championship match instead, with the Irishman claiming that he was out of Ripley’s league. Jey Uso thought that the first Universal Champion was talking about Ripley being out of his league and thus asked The Eradicator if that was the case. The Australian seemed to get a little confused, said that this was not the case, and appeared to blush. She also checked out the 10x Tag Team Champion as he made his exit.
What, that you outta my league?
Jey Uso to Rhea Ripley on Raw
Uso made his entrance to the ring, got on the microphone, and declared that he was about to win his first singles title in WWE. Bron Breakker came out to confront his challenger, and the two had a brutal back-and-forth on the stick. The segment eventually got physical as the Samoan laid out his opponent with a spear.
Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest get obliterated on the latest episode of Raw
The main event of Raw featured Damian Priest taking on Dominik Mysterio. As soon as the match began, The Judgment Day began running interference to help out their stablemate. The Archer of Infamy fought back against the numbers and hit a Broken Arrow on the Latino superstar. However, Liv Morgan saved things for her love interest by putting his feet on the rope.
Ripley, frustrated, took out Morgan and put her through the announcer’s desk. The action continued in the ring, with Damian Priest fighting back against his former stablemates. He finally landed a South of Heaven Chokeslam on Dom to pick up the pinfall victory. However, Judgment Day jumped him as soon as the match ended.
Jey Uso saved the Terror Twins from a beatdown last week and attempted to do the same this week as well. However, Bron Breakker speared him out of nowhere at the base of the ramp before he could get involved. The Judgment Day continued to hit all their finishers on Ripley and Priest before the show went off the air.
