Fitness freaks like Rhea Ripley and Buddy Matthews usually don’t feast on junk food. However, they wouldn’t shy from it either on a cheat day, like they seem to have done quite recently. The husband-wife duo did a ‘Burger Challenger’ in which they were supposed to finish up a McDonald’s meal that included a cheeseburger, some fries, and a glass of cold drink under a minute.
As seen in the following video posted by Buddy Matthews on Instagram, he allowed Rhea Ripley to have the head start, as Buddy was the one who got the stopwatch underway. However, as soon as it started ticking down, the AEW star started gobbling up the edibles. He wrapped up the fries in no time and proceeded on to the burger. In the meantime, Rhea had already given up seeing her husband way ahead of her.
All Ripley could do was giggle while enjoying her meal. By then, the House of Black member was only left with the drink that he gulped down when the timer was still four seconds shy of the one-minute mark. And just like that, Buddy won, Rhea lost. That was quite unorthodox from Mami, as she never backs down from a challenge, be it any.
But maybe she wasn’t as devoured as her husband. Nonetheless, that was one of many social media link-ups Ripley and Matthews do very often. They’re too much into these sort of fun-inducing acts that help endear the couple to its fans.
Last month, the duo redefined couple goals when Rhea and Buddy sported similar bracelets, which bind them for a lifetime. Despite working for two different companies, they’ve carved out a perfect balance to blossom both personally and professionally.
