Rhea Ripley reacts to TKO’s unprecedented deal with Australia to host multiple WWE events in 2025
Seeing the unofficial return of WWE to Australia, Rhea Ripley can't wait to get there. She main evented the first PLE in Perth.

In view of prioritizing the globalization of its $21 bn WWE/UFC conglomerate, TKO Group Holdings landed a historic partnership with the Western Australia government. The unprecedented pact will see Perth become the haven of WWE and UFC events for the next eighteen months. Speaking of WWE, the company will run SmackDown, followed by a PLE, and cap it off with a Raw taping later this year.
Australia’s own Rhea Ripley has reacted to the WA city hosting a trifecta of WWE events. On X, the 27-year-old wrote, “LFG.” Although the official schedule has yet to be announced, the multipurpose RAC Arena is named as the host venue, per The West Australian. Last year, WWE staged the Elimination Chamber at the effervescent Optus Stadium.
It was the first WWE PLE of-its-kind to go down in the ‘Land Down Under.’ Back then, the Women’s World Champion Ripley led the charge by headlining the show. She battled fellow-born Aussie, Nia Jax. The vivacious crowd was on its feet as these women made history. Mami ended up on top, but Jax did give her a scare.
It’d be interesting to see if the former Judgment Day member steps into her home country with gold around her waist once again. Apart from Ripley, WWE does boast of a stacked talent pool from Australia. Names like “Big” Bronson Reed and Grayson Waller have been rising up the ranks in recent memory.
A female powerhouse in Zaria, who debuted in NXT in October 2024, is someone to look for as well. The pro-wrestling scene in Oz is starting to blossom. Earlier this month, All Elite Wrestling aired the AEW Grand Slam special from Brisbane. The foray is expected to grow in stature as the clock keeps ticking.
Rhea Ripley’s do-or-die situation to retain her WrestleMania 41 spot
Albeit Rhea Ripley is full of beans for WWE’s reported return to Australia, she has a bigger fish to fry. This Monday on Raw, The Eradicator will defend her women’s world title against Iyo Sky.

This would be the first one-on-one match they’ve had in five years. With WrestleMania implications tied to it, the outcome of the bout is a must-see. Whoever leaves Buffalo with the title will likely march into WrestleMania as the champ.
Sky was inadvertently robbed of an opportunity to qualify for the women’s Elimination Chamber match. To make up for it, Mami bestowed a title shot on the Japanese grappler. The only question is if this foolhardy will displace Ripley from the WrestleMania 41 card.
