On July 24, Call of Duty released its fifth season, this time with the addition of multiple WWE superstars as playable characters. Cody Rhodes, Rhea Ripley, and Rey Mysterio were among the chosen stars, and fans were excited to play their characters. However, The Eradicator revealed that the collaboration between WWE and Call of Duty came as a surprise to her.
While speaking in an interview with PWMania, Rhea Ripley admitted that she didn’t know how it came to be in the first place. Mami stated she got a call to do the scans for her character, and she agreed to do it. She added that she did the voiceovers while injured and was glad they turned out well.
Ripley admitted that she went ahead with it without fully knowing what it was for, but she was excited to give it a try. In another teaser for the upcoming season, The Eradicator can be seen hitting an enemy with Cody Rhodes‘ move, the Cross Rhodes. Their debut in the game prompted many players to start playing again.
Honestly, I don’t know how it came to be. Work, they pretty much messaged me and they’re like, ‘Yeah, we want you to go do scans for this game. Didn’t really tell me too much about it and I was like, ‘All right. Say less.’ So, I went and did it. And then, next minute, when I’m injured, I’m doing voiceovers for it.Rhea Ripley via PWMANIA
The past few weeks have been tough for the 27-year-old star. First, she lost the world title match against her bitter enemy, Liv Morgan, after Dominik Mysterio turned on her. On the latest episode of Raw, the entire Judgment Day faction turned on her and her “Terror Twin,” Damian Priest, and ganged up on them. She vowed to soon bring an end to the new version of the faction alongside the Archer of Infamy.

While speaking in the same interview, Mami stated that it was an amazing and proud moment for her to wrestle in Australia after seven years. She felt it was absolutely incredible to return and perform in front of Australian fans and her family as part of WWE. The 27-year-old star also talked about how she felt about her favorite band performing her theme song during her entrance at WrestleMania XL.
It was absolutely amazing, and I hadn't competed in Australia for 7 years before that, and the last time was in Riot City before I came to WWE. So to be able to go back and be a part of WWE, and part of this family that we brought to Australia, which is absolutely wild.Rhea Ripley via PWMANIA
