It seems like Rhea Ripley‘s decision to pay a surprise visit to this week’s NXT was something she’d rue for a long time. As the fans saw, the 28-year-old endured a sneak attack by Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. The former women’s tag team champs assaulted Rhea in the infamous NXT parking lot, leaving The Eradicator spattered with blood. As a result, Ripley suffered a fractured right orbital socket.
Reacting to the injury that’d keep her out of action for an undisclosed amount of time, Ripley took to Instagram. She posted a couple of X-ray images of her skull, highlighting the damage done. The former women’s world champion wrote that Liv and Raquel made a mistake by not taking her out for good and left her breathing.
It did seem like the Judgment Day duo was satisfied with how things panned out. However, that might not be it. As obvious as it gets, there’s going to be repercussions to this. For now, Morgan and Rodriguez can breathe easy. Rhea isn’t expected to circle back anytime soon.

A potential surprise entry in next year’s women’s Royal Rumble match is quite plausible at this point. That could mean the Rhea vs. Liv feud might stretch itself out to WrestleMania 41. If that does happen, the fans might completely turn off from this never-ending saga.
The recent weeks of this rivalry have been pretty much a rinse and repeat of stuff. While many are under the impression that the so-called Liv Morgan Revenge Tour has run its course, it might be time for Rhea Ripley to stick to her arch-nemesis now. WWE CCO Triple H has been under fire of late for dragging this out for months.
When did it all start going downhill for Rhea Ripley?
Life hasn’t been the same for Rhea Ripley since Raw after WrestleMania XL. At the Show of Shows, The Nightmare overpowered Becky Lynch to keep her women’s title reign intact.
However, the night after on Raw, she was legit injured in what was a freak accident during the course of her backstage brawl with Liv Morgan. Subsequently, Mami had to relinquish her gold.
Ripley went for rehab. In the meantime, Liv captured the women’s world title from Lynch and hasn’t dropped a beat ever since. At SummerSlam, Morgan scored her biggest moral victory over Rhea.
Back then, Dominik Mysterio dumped his Mami for Liv. Almost three months have come and gone, but The Eradicator hasn’t been able to break the stranglehold on the real-life Gionna Daddio.
