As if NXT’s women’s division weren’t already booming, the brand just added a certain Aussie to the mix, and Rhea Ripley couldn’t be more happy. This week’s NXT closed out with Delta, now known as Zaria, making her WWE debut. She was previously advertised to be at the month-end’s Halloween Havoc PLE. However, she dropped some jaws, arriving a week earlier than her anticipated date.
Reacting to that moment, Ripley took to X. She must’ve been grinning ear to ear while making the post. Rhea is oh-so-proud of her Australian compatriot and asked the newest NXT signee to show everyone what she has up her sleeve. For the unversed, Zaria signed her WWE contract back in July.
Earlier this year, the company was in Perth for the Elimination Chamber. That was when the erstwhile Delta impressed WWE talent scouts in her tryout. Shortly after that, she was offered a deal, which she accepted. Now that she has arrived on the scenes in NXT, it’s only a matter of time before she makes an impact.
With years of independent wrestling experience under her belt, Zaria is no stranger to pushing her boundaries. She showcased glimpses of her repertoire in April when she took on Jordynne Grace for the TNA Knockouts World title.
Zaria couldn’t dethrone Grace but earned the respect of her fans and critics alike. Speaking of what awaits her in NXT are the likes of Giulia, Stephanie Vaquer, reigning women’s champ Roxanne Perez, etc. That roster runs deep. For Zaria to stand out, she’d need to put in the hard yards.
What does Rhea Ripley need to do amid her lean patch on Raw?
Rhea Ripley might be exuberant with Zaria’s NXT debut, but she has a bigger fish to fry. The Eradicator’s long-standing beef with Liv Morgan now has another woe in the form of Raquel Rodriguez.
The latter returned at Bad Blood to cost Ripley the women’s world title match against Liv. This week on Raw, an irate Rhea tore through Morgan, Rodriguez, and “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio. Later on in the show, Raquel asserted that she hasn’t forgotten that Mami screwed her and Liv when they were the women’s tag team champions.
A singles match between Ripley and Rodriguez is on the horizon. The Nightmare would feel she has to nullify the menace of the 33-year-old in order to get her rematch with Morgan for the title.
