Rhea Ripley‘s singles TV matches have been quite few and far between in 2024. It even miffed a certain number of fans. However, Mami finally got to march solo on this week’s Raw when she took on Raquel Rodriguez in an Anything Goes Match. The two had rivaled over in NXT, and that was evident from their chemistry last night.

Even though Rhea won, it wasn’t without a bruise on her right elbow. In a clip posted by WWE on X, the Australian grappler could be seen sporting a bloody wound. Rhea Ripley asserted her promise of coming for blood; didn’t matter whose it was. She brazenly claimed to be on top. Now with a win over Rodriguez in her kitty, the Aussie is one step closer to getting her rematch with Liv Morgan

In October, at WWE Bad Blood, Raquel screwed over Rhea in her women’s world title match with Liv. Fans had presumed that it’d be Dominik Mysterio who may cause problems for his ex-girlfriend. However, he was hanging on for dear life some feet above ground in a shark cage. Rodriguez would’ve been the last person Rhea Ripley could’ve guessed for messing her up.

Rodriguez, who’s positioned herself as Morgan’s insurance policy, has gone through a lot. Late last year, the 33-year-old Texan was diagnosed with Mast Cell Activation Syndrome. That caused rashes over her face, and she competed with the same in this year’s women’s Elimination Chamber match.

But when she did return after healing up, it probably wasn’t the best of ideas to take the gauntlet to Rhea Ripley. The Eradicator made her pay on Monday. It’d be interesting to see when Mami finally gets to lay her hands on Morgan again.

Is WWE leaning toward Rhea Ripley vs. Iyo Sky at WrestleMania 41?

It doesn’t seem like WWE is high on pushing the Liv Morgan vs. Rhea Ripley agenda for long. And after what transpired post Rhea’s mugging of Raquel Rodriguez on Raw, that theory morphed into belief.

Once Rodriguez lost, Liv strolled into the ring to attack Rhea Ripley. The latter soon found herself in a 2-on-1 predicament. However, Iyo Sky made the save and evened up the odds. After they cleaned the house, Rhea and Iyo went on to grab the grounded women’s world title simultaneously. Sky will challenge Morgan for the gold this weekend at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

If she pulls it off, The Genius of the Sky might be next on Mami’s radar. In a recent interview, Rhea Ripley even alluded to having no interest in continuing her Liv obsession. She named Sky as one of the opponents she’d like to face at WrestleMania.
