Rhea Ripley faced Liv Morgan at Bad Blood for the Women’s World Championship. The stipulation dictated that Dominik Mysterio would be locked in a shark cage suspended above the ring. Although the Australian won the match, she was unable to reclaim her title as her victory came via disqualification after a major botch by Raquel Rodriguez.
Ripley made fun of Morgan on X after her plan to cheat during their match did not work. Rodriguez returned to WWE at Bad Blood, and was supposed to take out the Eradicator without the referee noticing her. Afterwards, she was supposed to place the champion on top of the 28-year-old so she could pick up the pinfall victory. However, things went down far differently at the show.
Rodriguez reportedly mistimed her appearance and came out while being in full view of the referee. Although the match official tried to look away and pretend for a while, he eventually had to end the match and declare Rhea Ripley the winner via disqualification. Despite the match having already ended, the Latina Superstar still placed Morgan on top of her opponent.
This comment by Ripley came in response to Morgan making fun of her for being distracted during their match. The Queen of Extreme mentioned how the Australian just walked out of the ring to beat up Mysterio with a kendo stick. The referee even allowed her to exit the ring and did not count her out the entire time.
Rhea Ripley chooses her ideal opponent for WrestleMania 41
WWE is set to bring WrestleMania 41 to the Sin City in April 2025. Fans have already started booking their dream matches that they would like to see on the Grandest Stage of Them All in Las Vegas. A major name who will likely have a match at the show is Rhea Ripley, who was recently asked to pick her ideal opponent for the upcoming show.
Speaking at a recent Fanatics event, Ripley revealed that some names, such as Iyo Sky. had been suggested for her. While Liv Morgan was also a suggestion, she did not want this rivalry to continue until April. However, Bianca Belair was someone who she has wanted to face at WrestleMania for a long time.
These two superstars have faced each other numerous times in the past in various forms. They have been involved in gauntlet matches, tag team matches, and even War Games. They have also faced each other twice in singles matches.
This face-off seems unlikely at the moment as both superstars are on different brands, and Bianca Belair is currently involved in the tag team division. However, these two titans of the industry clashing at WrestleMania in the future seems inevitable.
