The 2025 Royal Rumble is just a few days away, and several stars have declared themselves for the match. Eyeing a world title match at WrestleMania, things are bound to get competitive. Amidst the chaos, Rhea Ripley teases entering not the women’s but the men’s 30-man match. Despite being the current Women’s World Champion, Ripley might make a rare appearance in the Men’s Royal Rumble match.
After successfully retaining her title against Nia Jax at Saturday Night’s Main Event, Ripley spoke with Jackie Redmond and Peter Rosenberg in a social media exclusive. Rosenberg asked The Eradicator what she had in store for this weekend’s PLE and if she planned to enter the women’s Royal Rumble as world champion. Ripley added to the possibilities by saying that she could also appear in the men’s bout.
The former Judgment Day member entering the men’s match wouldn’t be surprising. After all, she has been showcased as one of the most dominant female WWE stars in years. Moreover, Ripley has had physical interactions with several top stars in the company.

A few weeks ago, Ripley delivered a Riptide to her ex-boyfriend, Dominik Mysterio, on the Raw Netflix debut. During her time in The Judgment Day, Ripley would help her teammates during matches, most notably spearing Kevin Owens through a barricade. Of course, Rhea Ripley wouldn’t be the first female to enter the men’s Royal Rumble.
Chyna was the first woman to enter the match, doing so in 2000. Ten years later, Beth Phoenix joined the list, which was followed by Jax in 2019. All of these surprise appearances made for memorable moments. Therefore, it will be interesting to see if Ripley enters this year’s men’s match.
WWE Universe reacts to Rhea Ripley’s Royal Rumble tease
Despite being one of the most popular WWE stars today, Rhea Ripley teasing entering the men’s Royal Rumble received mixed reactions from fans. While some were excited at the prospect of seeing Ripley in the match, others felt that she was being overpushed.
A few users called for The Eradicator to enter the men’s match just to see her getting RKO’ed by Randy Orton, similar to how Nia Jax was in 2019. Unfortunately, Orton is not a confirmed participant as he continues to recover from injury. Meanwhile, one fan was thrilled at the possibility of an interaction between Ripley and IShowSpeed, who will be attending the event.

Rhea Ripley entering the Men's Rumble? She’s about to show the guys what real dominance looks like.

Oh plz she ain't chyna and i hope this doesn't happen. Besides today ppl are too sensitive of men hitting women

Only if she gets a smack to the face. But we can’t have that so it’s pointless

As for the negative feedback, users claimed that WWE was pushing Ripley to become the next Chyna. Furthermore, a female wrestler taking moves from male stars wouldn’t sit well with today’s audience. As such, they felt that Ripley entering the men’s Royal Rumble would be pointless.
