Brewster shined in his loan spell out at Swansea

Rhian Brewster is still to get a call up for first team opportunities with another loan spell beckoning. The U17 world cup golden boot winner in 2017 had a successful loan season at championship side, Swansea city. The English striker scored 11 goals for them leading the club to the Championship playoff semifinal.

His parent club, Liverpool are looking to get the best out of him through these loan spells in wish that he reflect his attributes on a more competitive league in future. Hence, clubs around England are taking options in drawing a productive season out of him. At Swansea, he defined his exploits with the nation’s youth team. Brewster was alive at almost every chance came to him. His quick darting runs in behind defense and positional awareness were eye catching. Added by his impressive finishes, Rhian is slowly and steadily becoming the horse of the long race. With Gallagher and Ayew, he made a deadly combination for the Swans.

Villa, Newcastle, Crystal Palace and newly promoted, Fulham are reported to have asked Liverpool about his availability on loan. While three relegated clubs from last season, namely Watford, Bournemouth and Norwich, are also keeping a close look for loan opportunity. Brewster opened up on his motive when discussed about his future plans,“I want to be at Liverpool next season. I want to be fighting for a spot to play. Who is not going to want to play at home of the champions? I don’t want to go out on loan but if that’s the best for me to do, to go away and get more game time, then that’s what I am going to do.”

Although his lack of scoring goals didn’t troubled the side, it did waste a lot of money. With also the takeover falling through due to the pandemic, Newcastle will try to show encouraging signs to the fan by bringing in Brewster to thrive in his loan spell.
