Carlos Alcaraz has been making ripples in the tennis world, and this is why Richard Gasquet doesn’t think tennis is on the decline after the retirement of Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. While heaping massive praise on the Spaniard, Gasquet also said that there will be many memorable matches in the future because of Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner.
While Alcaraz won the French Open and Wimbledon, Sinner lifted the hard court majors, the Australian Open and the US Open. Gasquet, like many, thinks tennis would see an intense rivalry between these two youngsters just like they saw the emergence of Federer, Nadal, and Novak Djokovic post the Andre Agassi, Pete Sampras, and Gustavo Kuerten era.
Alcaraz is not nothing. When I see him play, when I see his attitude, his level of play, it’s crazy. I tell myself that this player will be the new Federer and Nadal, I have no doubt. Sinner is also playing very, very well. He’s a huge player and others will come. They’re going to be the two best players in the world in the next fifteen years.

Federer retired in 2022, while Nadal will hang up his racket after the Davis Cup, scheduled in November. Djokovic, who withdrew from the Paris Masters, has planned to play for the next few years but Gasquet thinks fans will see more matches of Sinner and Alcaraz.
This season, Alcaraz became the youngest player at 21 to win at least one Grand Slam title on different surfaces when he lifted his first French Open. Sinner, on the other hand, has clinched seven titles, the most in men’s singles this season.
Richard Gasquet, Jannik Sinner, and Carlos Alcaraz will be playing at the Paris Masters
Richard Gasquet will face Italy’s Flavio Cobolli in the first round of the Paris Masters and it will be their first encounter on the ATP Tour. 38-year-old Gasquet has announced his retirement and next year’s French Open will be the last tournament of his career.

Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner will kick start their campaigns from the second round, as they both received byes. Alcaraz’s first-round opponent will be either Nicolas Jarry or a qualifier, while Sinner also is set to face the winner between Ben Shelton and a qualifier.
Before the Paris Masters, both Alcaraz and Sinner participated in the Six Kings Slam exhibition event in Riyadh where the World No.1 won $6 million. Their last match on the ATP Tour was the Shanghai Masters, which Sinner won by beating Novak Djokovic.
