The Hurt Business was a faction formed in 2020-2022 by Bobby LashleyMVP, Shelton Benjamin, and Cedric Alexander. The group had a great aura, completed by incredible in-ring work and a great manager in Mr. 305. However, it appears that not everybody was a fan of them, as revealed recently by Ricochet.

Cedric Alexander recently posted a photo of the group on his X account. Ricochet re-posted the photo and captioned the photo, saying that he hated them. The former Intercontinental Champion feuded with the group during late 2020 and early 2021. He had singles matches with several of the members and even took them on in six-man tag matches with the help of several other superstars.

Allegedly, MVP had pitched to Triple H several times to re-form the Hurt Business over the past year. However, his requests were seemingly shot down. Lashley was mostly involved with The Pride faction before going down with an injury, and now he is on his way out of the company.

However, there may still be hope for fans of the Hurt Business. Lashley and MVP both seem to be leaving WWE very soon. They are reportedly planning to reunite with Shelton Benjamin in AEW. The duo is looking to form the Hurt Business once again, this time in the Jacksonville-based promotion.

Wrestling Veteran believes Bobby Lashley will be a bust in AEW

Recent reports suggest that Bobby Lashley is no longer interested in working with WWE after his contract expired this month. The rumor mill suggests that he is on his way to AEW, where they will allegedly treat him like a much bigger superstar. However, wrestling veteran journalist Bill Apter believes that his run in the company will fail.

Speaking on UnSKripted, Apter believes that Bobby Lashley would not get proper opponents to wrestle in AEW. He said that the former WWE Champion would only be facing lightweights in the promotion except Wardlow, and the company is not doing much with him at the moment anyway.

Apter believed that MJF, Bryan Danielson, and even Will Ospreay wouldn’t make for good opponents for Lashley as they were all small guys. He believed that the 48-year-old needed more muscular and beefy guys like him to put on great matches for the company at big shows like All In. Despite skepticism, it would be interesting to see Bobby Lashley join WWE’s rival promotion and how he will be treated in AEW.
