Jey Uso participated in the Men’s Money in the Bank ladder match in Toronto, Canada. He was the poster child for the event and the favorite heading into the match. Thus, it was a huge surprise for many fans when he did not walk out as Mr. Money in the Bank. His father, Rikishi, also shared his thoughts about his son’s loss.
Speaking on Rikishi Fatu Off The Top, the Hall of Famer revealed that his son not winning Money in the Bank hit a nerve with him. He did not want him to get a free pass because of where he came from, referring to his Samoan heritage. However, he did place an emphasis on the numbers.
Uso has become one of the biggest merchandise sellers in WWE since his new gimmick. Since separating from The Bloodline, he has become a fan favorite, with fans singing along to his entrance music and interacting with him throughout. The Samoan Stinker said that the numbers do not lie with Yeet. Further, he repeatedly called his son the Yeet Man, owing to his catchphrase.
That kind of hits a nerve with me. I’m not asking or saying to give this kid a free pass because who he is and where he comes from. But I mean, again, I’m gonna go back to the numbers.

Jey Uso beats Chad Gable on Raw before being interrupted by The Wyatt Sicks
Jey Uso had an altercation with Chad Gable on the microphone two weeks ago on Raw. The two Money in the Bank participants argued over who was going to win the match but were interrupted by The Wyatt Sicks. This interaction set up a match between the two superstars, which took place on the latest episode of Raw.
After a close battle, Uso hit a spear and picked up a pinfall victory over the former Olympian. As he was celebrating, the lights went out, marking the arrival of The Wyatt Sicks. The 10-time Tag Team Champion has already expressed that he wants nothing to do with the group and that they can have the fireflies back. Therefore, he rushed up the ramp and exited the main stage.
As the lights went out, mist filled the ring and smothered a prone Chad Gable. Nikki Cross, dressed as Abby the Witch, came out to hand a box to Pat McAfee and Michael Cole. Meanwhile, the Minnesotan stood up and darted out of the ring to the Gorilla Position.
