“Now, s*x = gender identity,” Riley Gaines and Elon Musk react to Joe Biden’s latest Title IX changes as women’s safety gets questioned in process

Former NCAA swimmer Riley Gaines blasted Joe Biden’s latest policy and its impact on Title IX. Gaines often discussed Title IX changes and how they impacted women’s safety. With the latest changes made, the 24-year-old noted on X, “The Biden Admin has just officially abolished Title IX.”

The policy that was designed to protect women in 1972 has now been put on pause as women’s safety gets questioned in the future days. Gaines said, “Now, s*x = gender identity.” She further elaborated in a nutshell what Title IX now stands as in 2024.

As per Gaines, the new changes indicate that men can now take scholarships from women in both academic and sports fields. Furthermore, they’ll have access to washrooms, and locker rooms which were earlier kept only for women considering their privacy and safety issues. Although there was no official statement on this, Gaiens believes men will be allowed to stay in the same dorm as women in the future as Title IX means nothing now.

Entrepreneur Elon Musk also reacted to Riley Gaines’s take on Joe Biden’s latest changes calling them “insane” on X. Many commented on how this doesn’t make any sense and even slammed the Biden administration for revisiting the law.

People react to Joe Biden’s Title IX changes

Riley Gaines was not the only one to call out Joe Biden’s actions. PDE (Parents Defending Education) president Nicole Neily blasted the new regulations and labeled them as “grotesque”. She even said that they are looking forward to suing the Administration soon for these changes.

Neily said that “such an expansion of law is deeply unpopular” and thus has been never made before. But Biden’s Title IX changes “will not be forgotten by American parents” and it will lead to costly damage in the near future.

Extending Title IX to cover gender identity means that schools will no longer have discretion over whether – or how – to provide certain services and activities to students on the basis of self-declared gender identity.

Sarah Parshall Perry, former U.S. Department of Education’s senior counselor said that the new changes will endanger not only the education sphere but also the sports and various other fields. Women will not have the right to fairly compete and have separated bathrooms, or even locker room privacy following Title IX changes.

Gaines also added the law states that the students and faculty will have to use appropriate pronouns to call the respective person and if not done correctly, “YOU can be charged with harassment.” Furthermore, these rules cannot be questioned or ignored by any. What the future unfolds after Title IX changes is yet to be seen, but Biden’s statement has surely raised a hellfire on social media and among supporters of women’s rights.
