Riley Herbst is ‘relying hard on’ Kevin Harvick to secure his NASCAR future

Riley Herbst’s NASCAR career was almost over when he was let go by Joe Gibbs Racing on his rookie season following a winless run. But he was able to land a deal with Stewart Haas Racing and has been a part of the team since then. Though he hasn’t been a world beater at SHR, Herbst proved he deserves to race at the top.
The young driver is in a one of the toughest spots he has been in his career as he has to perform much better that he has ever been to prove a point and secure a seat for 2025 and beyond, as SHR is ceasing operations at the end of this season. After his Indy Xfinity race win, he admitted that he is relaying on Kevin Harvick for his future and is looking for seats in all three series.
I’m looking at opportunities in all three levels (Cup, Xfinity and Trucks). I’ve really line relied hard on Kevin Harvick. I’ve had a lot of talks with Haas Factory Team and they’re going really well and obviously they have really fast race cars.Riley Herbst told Motorsports.com.
He is having talks with the likes of Haas Factory Team and more, but his future would depend on his management team Kevin Harvick Incorporated. Herbst is one of their biggest driver assets, hence they would be working hard to giving him a good seat that would help him to grow.
But I think I’m going to put my chips on the table with Kevin Harvick and everybody at Kevin Harvick Incorporated and really rely on what they think my next step should be.Riley Herbst added.

Herbst while further talking about his current position and how he has progressed, pointed out that he is the most progressed driver in the top-3 series since the 2020 season. He also believes, he is now a different person than used to be.
I don’t think there’s somebody in the top three series that has progressed more than me just going back and watching who I was in 2020. I was just a different person and to see where I am now, that’s impressive.Riley Herbst said.
He is making some valid points and claims that would make a him a favourite signing for any top-teams in the top-3 series. Riley Herbst should remain with a top team in the Xfinity or Truck series, to establish himself deserving of a Cup seat.
