IPL 2021: WATCH – Rishabh Pant hilariously sledges Sam Billings at the nets

Sam Billings and Rishabh Pant
Delhi Capitals’ (DC) season under new captain Rishabh Pant begins today and the side would look to go up on from last year’s runner-up finish by winning the title this year. DC had an excellent season last year where they seemed to have the number of almost every side with the exception of eventual winners Mumbai Indians (MI). With some smart buys at the auction, they would now fancy themselves to come up with an even better showing.
All eyes will be on Rishabh Pant in this year’s tournament as the young wicket-keeper batsman is set to make his captaincy debut following an unfortunate shoulder injury which ruled regular skipper Shreyas Iyer out of the tournament. Pant has had experience as a captain in the domestic circuit and he would want to bring all his learnings to the fore in DC’s quest for a maiden IPL title.
Watch – Sam Billings gets trolled by Rishabh Pant

Sam Billings was one of the key signings made by DC at the auction this year. The English wicket-keeper batsman was bought for a sum of Rs. 2 crores by the Delhi franchise. Following recovery from an injury that he suffered during England’s ODI series against India, the 25-year-old is now back to full fitness and has been seen training hard and sweating it out at the nets in videos posted by DC ahead of the IPL.
One such video shows Billings playing a spinner at the nets with skipper Rishabh Pant keeping behind the wickets. The latter is well-known for his chirping from behind the wicket and he once again kept chatting with the Englishman. When Billings found it tough to deal with the bowler, Pant could be heard saying, “Someone is not hitting.” This video has now gone viral on social media.
Delhi Capitals begin their IPL season against Chennai Super Kings today in Mumbai.
