UFC fighter Renato Moicano has become a vocal advocate for Bitcoin. The Brazilian seems quite passionate about the coin’s decentralized nature. He views Bitcoin as a defense against what he describes as the “tyrant state” and inflation. Moicano recently shared his thoughts on the importance of the general public paying more attention to this new form of currency.

Renato Moicano recently did another episode of the Show Me The Money podcast. During the conversation, Moicano talked about Bitcoin and underlined the importance of safeguarding one’s finances from the bureaucrats. Moicano believes that government control and excessive economic intervention undermine individual freedoms. He sees Bitcoin as a decentralized alternative that offers protection from government exploitation and the devaluation of currency through inflation.

I'm telling you, bitcoin is not only investment. It is a way of life.

After his UFC 300 victory, Moicano publicly requested that his bonus be paid in Bitcoin. The Brazilian has repeatedly signaled his belief in the cryptocurrency’s long-term potential compared to traditional currencies. He discussed how inflation and economic uncertainties make Bitcoin a better option for preserving value over time.

He contrasted it with the devaluation of fiat money like the US dollar. Moicano’s stance is part of a broader trend among people standing up against ‘government exploitation’. However, the Brazilian has advised people to do their own research and not simply hop on because he said so.

At UFC 300 he took home $180,000 as his base pay plus an undisclosed bonus.

In addition to his fight earnings, Moicano has ventured into YouTube. The Brazilian runs several channels— “Show Me The Money,” being the main one. He also has his personal podcast channel. These ventures add supplemental income, although they are relatively modest compared to his UFC paydays.
