Ritu Phogat to return to ONE Championship: Big Bang on December 4, 2020 in Singapore

The famous Phogat family, famous for their wrestling has one of their talented members Ritu Phogat, in the spotlight as she is gaining recognition for transitioning towards MMA after successively winning gold in the Commonwealth Championship in Wrestling.

Her run in ONE Championship has been off to a colourful start with her having a clean 3-0 record in her time at ONE Championship. Her skillset has been her help to reach here and make others struggle under her dominant ground game.

Her last bout was against Nou Srey Pov back in October. She had an impressive win, displaying her good, dominant ground game which led her to finish her opponent with a ground and pound finish causing a second-round TKO.

A fourth win is something she has set her eyes on as she returns to ONE Championship for her fight against Jomary Torres of the Philippines held at ONE: Big Bang on December 4, 2020 in Singapore.

A fourth win for confident Ritu?

She began her debut for ONE Championship by winning every Indian fan’s heart when she had a first-round TKO against Nam Hee Kim. Her ground and pound power is quite remarkable as both her first and third opponent Nou Srey Pov had faced similar fates and lost due to a TKO.

Her dominant performance gave her a second win against Chiao Chen Wu via a unanimous decision.

Jomary has been matched up to fight Phogat. Jomary has had a longer experience in MMA compared to Phogat with a record of 3 wins and 4 losses in her time at ONE Championship. She is as determined as the Indian and looks to start aiming for more victories.

This event is to be headlined by the ONE Light Heavyweight Kickboxing World Champion Roman Kryklia of Ukraine against challenger Murat “The Butcher” Aygun of Turkey and Netherlands.
