‘The Indian Tigress’, Ritu Phogat is all set to make her 3rd appearance in the One Championship ring against the Nou Srey Pov at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. Ritu faced her last opponent in February when she defeated the Chinese Chaio Chen Wu at ‘One Championship: King of the Jungle’.
In a recent interview Ritu says, “MMA is still not mainstream in India… I want Indian athletes to understand the sheer scope of MMA and the popularity that MMA holds across the world. I wanted to take this up as a challenge”.
Ritu Phogat is aimed to maintain her 100 percent record in the MMA when she will face Nou Srey Pov in ‘One Championship: Inside the Matrix’. Her Cambodian opponent Nou Srey Pov is going to present a great challenge for her but Ritu wants to bring the first MMA championship belt to India.
Prediction for the fight
The Indian Tigress is going to make her third in-ring appearance against Nou Srey Pov tomorrow. She made her debut against Nam Hee Kim in November 2019 and second appearance in February. Ritu won both these fights and she wants to continue her winning streak.
Nou Srey Pov is one of the renowned names in one championship and she is going to be a tough challenge for Ritu Phogat. She is quick between the rounds and her endurance is also high. But Ritu Phogat’s well-built frame and hard striking can help her to win against her.
Ritu Phogat is a grappler and grappling is her strength but this is going to be no secret for Srey Pov she will be anticipating her slugfest and guarding her defenses. It is going to be a classic match of brawler vs grappler.
