Ritu Phogat will face Nou Srey Pov in Singapore on 30th October

Ritu Phogat is an Indian Commonwealth Championship Gold Medalist wrestler, turned an MMA fighter. She currently under contract with One Championship. The youngest of the Phogat sister’s will be making her 3rd One Championship appearance on 30th October against Nou Srey Pov of Cambodia.

Ritu won her last fight against the debutant Wu Chiao Chen of China in February. This was her second consecutive win at the One Championship. She won this match by the unanimous decision of the judges, in all three rounds she controlled the bout and her Chinese opponent could only do a little against her well build frame and powerful striking.

Phogat is determined to make a statement

Ritu Phogat is training hard to make India proud in the field of MMA she said, “It has been an exhilarating prelude to the event because I’ve been away from my family ever since the lockdown has begun”.

“I want to do this for my country and show the rest of the world that India is a powerhouse of MMA talent. We must have begun late, but we’ve made the wait count”. The other Phogat sisters have made India proud in the field of wrestling at the Commonwealth Games and Asian Games. Now it’s Ritu’s turn to take the country to new heights in the field of MMA.
