The MLB World Series was supposed to be the most exciting series in some time. After three games many felt it was a snooze fest as the Los Angeles Dodgers went 3-0 up. Then in game four, the New York Yankees came back in epic fashion. But the highlight of the game was what two fans did, who inexplicably have a link with four-time Super Bowl champion Rob Gronkowski.
The now-retired star tight end was a guest on the latest episode of Up & Adams show. Initially, they got around discussing all the latest from the NFL. From giving his opinion on Anthony Richardson‘s substitution to talking about tight end day.
Then host Kay Adams got around to asking him if he had watched the World Series game 4. He explained that he only caught two innings. But then as the graphic on their screens showed the two fans yanking the ball out of Mookie Betts‘ glove, the 35-year-old revealed this.
OF COURSE Gronk was college friends with the #Yankees fan who interfered with Mookie Betts glove last night ??

This revelation left Kay Adams shocked. He went on to say that those fans were part of the Arizona Wildcats Ice Hockey team at the same time when ‘The Gronk’ was part of the football team. That is the four-time Super Bowl champion’s link to those fans.
Rob Gronkowski clarifies his stand on his Yankee fan friends
Naturally, as soon as the clip of this discussion went online, it went viral. The clip has been viewed more than 3.5 million times, making it the most viral from the X account of Up & Adams. But when it came to Rob Gronkowski‘s attention, he reposted it with this message.
Austin was a college friend. Very passionate about the teams he represents. Will do anything for them. A menace, wild boy as well, he is the person that undoubtedly would say he would do that then actually do it. Maniac status since college has been confirmed. https://t.co/jkSaiWlr8i

The former New England Patriots superstar did mention on the show that he did not condone what his college friend did. The fact that his friend shined when the moment came was enough for Rob Gronkowski.
But their efforts went to waste as the New York Yankees eventually lost the World Series. The Los Angeles Dodgers came back from down 0-5 in the fifth game tonight to eventually win 7-6. That brought Shohei Ohtani his first and the Dodgers’ eighth World Series win.
