In an interview with AS, Roberto Bautista Agut lavished praise on Roger Federer and spoke about how his return to tennis is important for the sport. The Swiss maestro made his return to tennis courts at the Qatar Open 2021 only a few weeks ago after being on the sidelines for 14 months. Federer suffered a knee injury, for which he underwent two operations and also skipped the Australian Open 2021.

Roberto Bautista Agut believes that the likes of Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic are global icons and it is very important to have them on the tour. The Spaniard wished that the Big Three would continue to play for a long time.
“There are a lot of expectations on him when he plays. It’s very good for tennis to have him back, and that he can compete as long as possible because Roger, Rafa and Novak make tennis more popular and important. They are global icons,” Bautista Agut said.
Speaking about his opponent in the second round at the Miami Open, Roberto Bautista Agut has been presented with a tricky challenge.
