The Italian announced himself at the Italian Open after he shunned the 3 time Grandslam champion, Stan Wawrinka in the 1st round of the Italian Open and then went on to defeat Kei Nishikori in Round 2. In a recent interview to lifestyle website Esquire, the Italian was asked to give his views on fashion and the tennis world. When asked about his favourite player, Musetti instantly answered that it was none other than the 20 time Grandslam champion, Roger Federer. He went on to speak about how the Swiss maestro had inspired him when he was younger.“Federer has always been my favorite player, he’s my reference, and continues to be,” said Musetti.
