Roger Penske invites $100 million worth ex-team owner Chip Ganassi back to NASCAR
Team Penske Racing owner Roger Penske has shared his interest in seeing Chip Ganassi back in NASCAR Cup series.

Established in 1989, for a long-time Chip Ganassi was one of the stalwarts in the NASCAR history. They have fielded machines for stock car racing legends such as the likes of Martin Truex Jr., Kurt Busch and Sterling Marlin. But the team finally left NASCAR, to focus on their operations in the IndyCar and other series’ by selling their assets to Trackhouse Racing.
With the Next-Gen changing the sport and making it cheaper, the reigning champions team oner Roger Penske has invited Chip Ganassi back. His revelation came while talking about the teams overall impressive 2024 season, and the disappointment from the IndyCar series as they lost the title to Ganassi’s team.
Well, I guess you’d have to say it’s probably, if not the best, one of the best. I think that obviously not to win the IndyCar championship, which of course it’s where we all start and build our first racing team, was disappointing.
Roger Penske said via TSJ.
He highlighted how impressive the performance from Ganassi’s team was and hailed his contribution towards the team. Penske revealed that he told Ganassi to comeback to NASCAR as it has gotten easier for them.
But it’s one of those things that you try and you don’t. (Chip) Ganassi, you have to give him credit. He continues to put up great numbers with his guys. I told him, ‘come on back to NASCAR, it’s gotten easier.’
Roger Penske added.
Joey Logano how Roger Penske inspires him
The reigning Cup champion Joey Logano recently talked about the impact his boss Roger Penske had on him. He pointed out that despite having a lot on his plate, Penske tackle it with a cool mind, hiring the right guys and it inspired Logano to learn from it.
I’ve never met anybody that has more stuff going on than Roger Penske. He’s got some great people around him that go with him everywhere and do it together. It’s really neat to see how that works. And obviously I take a lot to apply to my life, as well.

The comments from Joey Logano shows the amount the respect he has for Roger Penske and how much he is inspired from his boss. The duo has a lot left to offer to NASCAR. It would be interesting to see how much more races and championships they can win in the future.
