Virat Kohli and his dedication to remain fit is well known in the cricket fraternity. He follows a strict schedule and makes sure he takes care of his fitness even when he is not playing cricket, and the result is exhibited on the field when he scores a lot of runs and stays alert while fielding.

India captain Rohit Sharma is criticized by many fans and cricket pundits for his fitness. However, Ankit Kaliyar, a strength and fitness coach and a former state-level cricketer feels even though Rohit looks “bulky“, he is one of the fittest cricketers.

Ankit Kaliyar calls Virat Kohli the fittest cricketer in the world

When Ankit Kaliyar was asked about who he thinks is the fittest player in the world, his answer, unsurprisingly, was Virat Kohli. Kaliyar said Kohli follows a strict schedule and takes care of his nutrition, training, supplementation, and conditioning whether he is playing or not, and that he is religious about his regime and routine.

And on Kohli’s consistency in passing the Yo-Yo Test, Kaliyar hailed Kohli for bringing the culture of fitness to the Indian dressing room and becoming an example for others. Kaliyar recalled the time when Kohli was the captain of the team and how he created an atmosphere of fitness. The coach said Kohli is the reason why the Indian players are so fit.
