Jey Uso took on Bronson Reed on this week’s Raw in Detroit. Midway through the match, Bron Breakker steamed in out of nowhere to clock Uso with a spear. ‘The Yeet Master’ was done for at the time until Roman Reigns arrived as his backup. ‘The OTC’ eased his way past Reed and Breakker and eventually got Uso back to a vertical base.

The former Bloodline members decided to work in tandem and hit their foes with spears in sync. However, their move backfired when Reigns got a taste of his own medicine by running into a spear from Breakker. Meanwhile, Uso got flattened by a clubbing blow from Reed. ‘The Auszilla’ then delivered tsunamis to both of the Anoa’i clan wrestlers.

There came a moment when a grounded Reigns was gasping for air, and Breakker was talking trash into his face. ‘The Unpredictable Badass’ put the final nail in the coffin by performing a double spear on Reigns and Uso through the barricade at the ringside. That looked absolutely devastating, and the spot elicited “holy sh*t” chants from a packed house at the Little Caesars Arena.

Immediately after that, the Aussie grappler removed the sneakers that ‘The OTC’ was wearing and went away with them. It was a hilarious moment in an otherwise intense brawl to close out the final edition of Raw before SummerSlam. The four of them will collide this Saturday in one of the biggest tag team bouts in recent memory.

Is Roman Reigns on the back foot after being destroyed on Raw?

The ending to this week’s Raw has perfectly set Roman Reigns and Jey Uso up for a sweet revenge against Seth Rollins‘ henchmen. This may very well result in the babyfaces going over Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed at ‘The Biggest Party of the Summer’. At one point, it seemed like WWE would put Reigns and Breakker in a singles match at SummerSlam.

However, some recent reports claim that the company views it as a potential WrestleMania main event in the future. Who knows if it goes down next year in Las Vegas? But there’s a long way to go until then. In the meantime, it’d be interesting to see a Rollins-less duo of Breakker and Reed tear through the entire roster if that’s how they’re going to be presented in the months to come.

The fact that they’re going to stand against arguably the biggest star in today’s WWE in the form of Reigns speaks volumes about the company’s plans for the young guns. ‘The Tribal Chief’ hasn’t wrestled since getting betrayed by Paul Heyman at WrestleMania 41. He might have to battle through some ring rust in the beginning to pose a serious threat to the starving combatants in Breakker and Reed.

Roman Reigns partnering with Jey Uso does have its significance

The upcoming tag team bout featuring Roman Reigns will be his first occurrence teaming up with a member of his iconic Anoa’i family since last year’s Survivor Series. Back then, the Reigns-led OG Bloodline, Sami Zayn, and CM Punk defeated Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, Bronson Reed, and Jacob Fatu inside WarGames.

It was a one-off reunion for Reigns and his cousins. But this Saturday at SummerSlam, ‘The Head of the Table’ will join forces with his former ‘Right Hand Man’ to try and break the synergy of Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. The OTC1’s return in time for the inaugural two-night SummerSlam PLE has certainly augmented fan interest around the event.

Also, it needs to be seen whether he and Jey Uso get to main event night 1 of the show over Gunther vs. CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship. The internet is divided over who should go on last. However, the majority is leaning toward the world title match as the ideal main event for Saturday.
