WWE recently announced that Roman Reigns will be appearing on the March 21st episode of SmackDown in Bologna and on the March 28th episode in London. Following the announcement, the 39-year-old penned down his thoughts on X. He talked about his unfinished business, likely with Seth Rollins.

Reigns was last seen in WWE at the Royal Rumble. Shortly after he was eliminated, Rollins hit him with a double stomp on the outside of the ring. Following the PLE, the promotion announced that the OTC would be out of action indefinitely. His return would surely give the blue brand the boost that it so desperately needs at the moment.

Interestingly, Seth Rollins has also been advertised for the March 21st episode of SmackDown in Bologna. Not only are they likely to have an interaction during this show, but this might suggest that they will be having a match at WrestleMania, and this episode will act as a build-up to their bout.

Some reports have suggested that Reigns and Rollins will be involved in a triple-threat match alongside CM Punk. However, the Second City Saint seems to be more occupied in the WWE Undisputed Championship scene at the moment. Furthermore, the return of The Rock could have also caused many changes in the promotion’s plans.

Wrestling veteran Disco Inferno claims Roman Reigns not appearing on WWE is making the product suffer

Toward the end of his 1,316-day reign, especially after WrestleMania 39, Roman Reigns became more and more of a part-timer. He would only wrestle on big shows and only showed up on 1-2 episodes of SmackDown to build up his matches. Even though he doesn’t hold the company’s top belt anymore, he is still a huge needle mover and adds much more depth to the product.

Speaking on Keepin’ it 100, wrestling veteran Disco Inferno wondered what kind of deal Reigns had with WWE that allowed him to almost never show up. He said that the former WWE Undisputed Champion barely showed up ever since WrestleMania XL. Inferno added that WWE programming was suffering because the OTC’s character had gone flat and had no depth anymore.

There used to be weekly episodic television sitting in the room, those segments. There’s no more of that. And the show is suffering because of it. His character is kind of flat right now.

Inferno also mentioned how Reigns was kept off TV for months after his latest match at WrestleMania against Cody Rhodes. This whole angle was designed to make the crowds want him more, leading to “We Want Roman” chants. This was designed such that he could come back and have a babyface run.

The wrestling veteran was disappointed that this didn’t come to fruition. Rather than having a babyface run, he just showed up on a couple of episodes here and there.
