Roman Reigns and John Cena both make compelling cases to belong on the Mount Rushmore of professional wrestling. They have carried WWE on their backs during their respective eras and continue to be some of the biggest names in the business today. Needless to say, the two superstars have a lot of respect for each other.
Reigns and his Wiseman, Paul Heyman, recently made an appearance on Bloomberg Live. The OTC responded to Cena, calling him the GOAT of professional wrestling. The OTC had seen the Hollywood Superstar’s early world championship reigns and his rise to the face of the company. The former WWE Universal Champion was still in developmental while the Cenation leader was making his way to being WWE’s top guy.
The Franchise Player had seen and done it all. Thus, the OTC believed that if anybody knew what it takes to get to that point in the company and even be considered in the conversation for the greatest of all time, it was the erstwhile Doctor of Thuganomics. As Roman Reigns rose to main-event status in 2015, John Cena was towards the end of his tenure as the face of the company.
I wish I could say, ‘I’m Taylor Swift out there,’ but we have a great team. I have a Wiseman. Business has been really good. It’s one of those weird situations.

Therefore, he was simply going to agree with Cena. Heyman also shared the same sentiment and posted an Instagram story shortly after the 16x World Champion’s statement. He gave props to the 47-year-old for acknowledging The Tribal Chief.
Paul Heyman thought that WWE would never let him work with Roman Reigns
Paul Heyman is greatly appreciated for his role as the Wiseman of The Bloodline. However, before being an advisor to The Tribal Chief, he was known as the Advocate for The Beast, Brock Lesnar. The Hall of Famer never thought that he would ever move past that role and be given the opportunity to join the Samoan faction.
When Heyman’s role as Lesnar’s advocate came to an end, he was willing to work with no one except Reigns. The Wiseman never thought that WWE would let them work together. However, he made it a point to only work with the SmackDown Superstar because that was who he believed in. The ECW legend truly thought that Reigns was the best athlete in WWE. And the rest was history.
